Another Creative Outlet for Writers, Artist, etc.

For all you artsy left-brained folks out there in the blogosphere, here is another outlet for your creativity.  Check out Creative Every Day...

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.
Join in the ChallengeYou can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!
Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 7/23/12 - 7/29/12.
The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to theblog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.
You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!
Theme: The (totally optional) theme for July is Round, which you can read more here.
Happy Creating!

I'm in LOVE

A Work in Process
I'm in love with the Pablo Neruda and his Love Sonnets.  In fact, I am busy trying to create a piece of wall art using Alisa Burke's technique, however I have slightly modified the process.  Step One was to prime the canvas with interior white paint.  Step Two was to have my daughter begin expressing herself artistically on the canvas...she is not yet two.
The Artist at Work

Step Two will take awhile...it is a large canvas, and after about fifteen minutes the artist loses interest.

Here is my selected quote from Love Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
― Pablo Neruda100 Love Sonnets

Still a Work in Process
Step Three was for me to write the quote on the canvas using a specialized Sharpie Marker.  However, we still need more of Step Two after the quote is written.  I want the artist to paint over the words-her paints will allow the quote to still be seen.  I'll keep you updated on what the final project looks like, but in the mean time...

What in your life can you say you are in love with?  Write about it!  What does it mean to you...what would your life would be without it...OR use Pablo Neruda's quote and create something with it.

If you like, share your response or your creation to this prompt in the comment section...
